The trainee programme in the VELUX Group is composed as a two-year internal education course consisting of four modules lasting six months each. The typical sequence of the modules is:
Production
In the production module you will work in one of the production companies in the VELUX Group with tasks in fields as e.g. flow of production, optimisation, the environment and quality management.

Support
In this module, you will work with tasks as e.g. product development, market analysis, logistics or advertising.
Sales/Marketing
The module "Sales/Marketing" takes place in one of our European sales companies. Assignment is compulsory for a trainee. Among the opportunities in this module could be working with sales tools, marketing tasks, order flow or trade and guarantee conditions.
Optional module
In the last module, you have the opportunity to choose where in the Danish part of the company you wish to work as a trainee. You can either work in an area in which you have never worked before, or you can choose to become more acquainted with an area in which you have a special interest.
Opportunities in the trainee programme
The programme will be especially designed for you based on your educational background. This will give you the opportunity to translate your theoretical knowledge into actual practice. Your training will be very much project-based and you will have some influence on the assignments you receive. Your results and opportunities will be determined to a large degree by your own efforts.
During the training programme, you will come into contact with many different divisions and colleagues from a variety of educational and cultural backgrounds. You will experience first hand that the VELUX Group is an international company represented in more than 40 countries around the world. It is our objective to give you broad insight into the VELUX Group so that you can continue in one of our companies after you complete the training programme.
Trainee programme
To qualify for the training programme, you must have completed a higher technical or business education such as engineer or MSc (Econ) with a good result within the last two years.
The training programme requires flexibility. You must be quick to comprehend new problem formulations, curious and eager to learn. You should also be able to work well with others, be outgoing and articulate in the presentation of solutions to your tasks. In addition, you should be ambitious, both professionally and personally, which will be seen in the level of initiative and independence with which you approach your assignments.
