Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series
OHSAS (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series) is an internationally recognised health and safety management system which requires each factory to lay down a number of objectives for occupational health and safety and to produce action plans for achieving these objectives. In this way, responsibility for health and safety is lodged with management at each individual factory.2003 saw the first VELUX factory certified according to OHSAS 18001, and the work has continued in 2004 and 2005 where all factories were certified.
