Since 1997, VELUX has sharpened its focus on achieving its environmental targets by basing its environmental work on certified management systems.
With the exception of a single factory – Shalakusha Wood Processing Industry, which VELUX acquired on 25 January 2005 – all our factories are certified to ISO 14001, the international standard for environmental management systems, which underpins our targeted efforts to take a sensible approach to the environment and natural resources by requiring all the factories to set environmental goals and ensure continual improvements.
Domestic certification of Shalakusha Wood Processing Industry is expected in spring 2008.
