VELUX Austria is to build Austria’s first ever carbon-neutral single-family house under the name of Sunlighthouse. The vision is to build a house with exciting and appealing architecture focusing on the sloping roof.
The architectural concept was found in a competition between nine rising Austrian architectural practices, and the winner is Hein-Troy Architekten. The house will be built on a sloping, shady plot with a lakeside view and will consist of typical Austrian materials combined with an innovative and energy-efficient design.
Completion planned for Q4 2009.
