VELUX EHF FINAL4 2016 in Cologne

On 28-29 May, KS Vive Tauron Kielce were crowned champions of the VELUX EHF FINAL4. Here is a round up of the weekend.

Cologne welcomed 20,000 passionate fans from around the world to its LANXESS arena, where they watched KS Vive Tauron Kielce beat off tough competition from Paris Saint-Germain Handball, THW Kiel and MVM Veszprém to be crowned 2016 champions.

Alongside them were 900 guests of the VELUX Group and millions of TV viewers, from more than 120 countries around the world.

The Little Sun stand

Hundreds of fans visited the VELUX Group’s Little Sun stand and were given the chance to win a limited edition event handball if they scored three goals from a three-metre distance. But that’s not all; the VELUX Little Sun project sent a Natural Light solar lamp to Africa every time a fan scored three times or bought a solar lamp for themselves.

A great partnership

The VELUX Group became the title sponsor of the competition in 2010 and since then, more than 25,000 VELUX Group guests have attended the matches and the games have been watched by over three million fans live and 1.2 billion TV viewers.

The VELUX Group has extended its partnership with EHF and will remain the title sponsor of the tournament until 2020.

The VELUX EHF Champions League is an extremely powerful platform to create and strengthen our relationship with customers and partners primarily in our key markets across Europe and share the passion and professionalism that best describes the VELUX Group,
