Creating a good application

Before you prepare your application, make sure you have carefully read the advertisement. If your qualifications match what we’re looking for, you’re ready to start. For all advertised positions in the VELUX Group, you need to submit a CV and a letter of application. Both should be short and precise, reflecting your professional and personal profile.

Show us who you are

We want to get a sense of who you are and how you will make a positive difference to the position you’re applying for – and to the VELUX Group. So make sure your application gives us an idea of what we’re already missing out on.

Once you’ve completed your application and CV, the rest is easy. Simply follow the instructions in the job ad and submit your application to us.

Unsolicited applications

You’re welcome to apply for more than one job in the VELUX Group. Please submit an application for each position, and make sure to indicate in each application the title(s)/location(s) of the other position(s) you have applied for.
We only receive applications through our recruitment system. Rather than sending an unsolicited application, we recommend you to stay updated on available VELUX jobs here.
For most academic and administrative positions, we use personality and aptitude assessments. These assessments constitute the basis for a dialogue about your approach to assignments and professional behaviour and mindset. Our assessments are always supplemented by an interview.

For every position we advertise, we run a comprehensive recruitment process to make sure we find the best candidate for the job. The process may vary depending on the position and business area you are applying for.

But it is typically carried out by the recruitment manager in collaboration with HR. The recruitment process is carefully designed to make sure all applicants are reviewed on a fair and equal basis. It is a key priority for us that all applicants have a good experience.

After submitting your CV and application, your profile will be reviewed by the recruitment manager and HR business partner to ensure that your personal and professional profile meet the criteria for the position you have applied for.

The interview is an opportunity for us to get to know more about each other. You get the chance to tell us more about yourself – and why you’d like to work at the VELUX Group. And we get the chance to tell you more about our company and the job – what we have to offer and what we expect from you.

We like to think of our interviews as a pleasant meet-and-greet, where both parties get the chance to find out whether we’re suited for each other. So the most important thing is to be yourself. It’s you we want to meet.

Our corporate language is English, so applications should typically be written in English.

However, if you are applying for a job in one of our local production or sales companies, the job ad might specify that your application may be written in the local language.
