Chasing Daylight events exist to help strengthen established bonds and foster new relationships through memorable daylight and fresh air experiences that bring people together around their shared appreciation for nature, sporting events, cultural festivals, and other outdoor gatherings.
These events are designed to create lasting memories and meaningful connections, whether it's cheering on cyclists at the Tour de France or creating sustainable solutions for festivals. By bringing people together in these vibrant and dynamic settings, we aim to inspire a sense of community and shared purpose, celebrating the joy of outdoor activities.
Memorable daylight experiences
Another Side of VELUX
At Another Side of VELUX events, we invite customers, colleagues, and partners to go 'behind the scenes' at our Østbirk and Kolding sites to experience first-hand how VELUX products are crafted. These events offer a unique perspective on our company, allowing attendees to explore the wind tunnel, observe product testing, and witness the manufacturing process. In our museum, visitors can also experience the evolution of our products and brand, gaining a deeper understanding of our commitment to quality and innovation.
Gravel Festival with Pas Normal Studios
To celebrate the sport and the old life of the VELUX warehouse in Østbirk and to experience the beautiful surroundings, we invited to a once in a life time cycling gravel festival together with our partner Pas Normal Studios. 375 riders signed up to chase daylight and to give the building a proper farewell before it will be transformed to the LKR Innovation House - housing around 500 people who all will work to create well-being for people and planet by transforming spaces using daylight and fresh air.
Giro d'Italia Men and Women
One of the three Grand Tours of professional cycling, the Giro d’Italia is a thrilling multi-stage race that winds through more than 3,000 km of stunning Italian countryside. The Giro d'Italia Women is a long-running women's stage race which has carved a niche as one of the most prestigious women's events in the world. This race showcases the best female cyclists competing on the same challenging routes as their male counterparts.
VELUX was present at both races well represented by colleagues, inviting with partners and customers to experience these wonderful events together celebrating the sport and the riders in daylight and fresh air.
NorthSide
NorthSide is a three-day music and cultural festival that takes place near Aarhus, Denmark. Since 2010, this outdoor event has combined performances with a unique focus on sustainability.
In 2024, VELUX and NorthSide entered a partnership determined to inspire everyone to think about their own take on a brighter future, and it started by sharing it with each other. We handed the microphone to NorthSide's guests and asked them to share their vision of a brighter future by asking, “What is a brighter future to you?”
Sustainability Challenge at Roskilde Festival
Since 1972, Roskilde Festival has been a volunteer-led, week-long, outdoor summer music festival that has generated more than 420 million Danish kroner distributed to global charities. For three years, we have been running the Sustainability Challenge in collaboration with IDA and Roskilde Festival. This project engages students in thinking about sustainability and how they can creatively reuse different materials in a fun way at Roskilde Festival. It serves as a platform to test and showcase the winning ideas, providing a great opportunity for VELUX to connect with our future colleagues and partners. Through this initiative, we share ideas and learn from each other, contributing to a more sustainable future.
Strade Bianche
In 2024, VELUX partnered with RCS Sports & Events to support five globally-renowned road cycling races for both women and men. The cycling season kicked off with the Strade Bianche and Strade Bianche Women Elite races during the first weekend of March.
Founded in 2007, the Strade Bianche is a prestigious bicycle race that takes cyclists through the scenic Tuscany region of Italy. This spring cycling event begins and ends in Siena, covering 184 km (114 mi) of hilly terrain. It is renowned for its challenging gravel roads and picturesque landscapes, making it a favourite among both participants and spectators.
UCI Cyclo-Cross World Cup
The UCI Cyclo-Cross World Championships are the world championships for cyclo-cross organised by the Union Cycliste Internationale. A great example of men and women chasing daylight in all conditions that the weather can deliver. The partnership is a unique opportunity to activate and connect with our target groups.
