Who we are
The VELUX Group purpose, to create well-being for people and planet by transforming spaces with daylight and fresh air, reflects both our ambition to improve indoor environments and our commitment to sustainability. Our name itself combines “VE” for ventilation and “LUX” for light, symbolizing the essence of what we deliver. We measure success through the eyes of those we serve – that includes employees.

Sustainability at the VELUX Group is embedded across our operations, from product design to supply chain management. We focus on improving indoor climate with daylight and fresh air while also tackling the broader environmental impacts related to our products, responsibly managing natural resources, and giving back to the societies in which we operate.
In 2025 we were awarded a Platinum EcoVadis rating, placing us among the top 1% of companies worldwide for sustainability performance.
